Tazabek — The Cabinet of Ministers included in the price stabilization plan for 2026–2027 measures to increase wheat reserves and develop food storage infrastructure.
According to the document, by the end of 2027 it is planned to provide additional imports of 700 thousand tons of wheat to cover domestic needs.
At the same time, it is planned to build 10 granaries with a total capacity of 100 thousand tons on the basis of flour milling enterprises. It is planned to allocate from the republican budget for these purposes 1 billion soms.
Also, by the end of 2026, the Cabinet of Ministers must decide to extend the zero VAT rate on imported wheat, used for the purposes of food security and stabilization of market prices.
In addition, it is planned to organize warehouses for storing and selling material and technical resources in 40 regions of the country. The plan provides for providing farms with seeds in the amount of 66 thousand tons, fuels and lubricants — 10 million liters, fertilizers — 60 thousand tons.
The measures were included in the Cabinet of Ministers’ plan to stabilize rising prices for goods and services for 2026–2027.
