Tazabek — Work on the construction of the second hydroelectric unit of Kambar-Ata HPP-2 is planned to begin in March 2027. First Deputy Minister of Energy Kursant Omurbekov announced this on the radio.
According to him, currently one unit with a capacity of 120 MW is operating at the station. In total, the project provides for three units of 120 MW each.
“Work is underway on the second unit, financing is being considered, and contractors have been selected. God willing, construction work will begin in March 2027. Then the power will increase from 120 to 240 MW,” he said
